AFTER 120 YEARS I WILL BE OPEN [SOURCE]

… For like as our door was after so many years wonderfully discovered, also there shall be opened a door to Europe (when the wall is removed), which already doth begin to appear, and with great desire is expected of many.

The passage above [an extract from CHAPTER III - THE FAMA FRATERNITATIS OF THE MERITORIOUS ORDER OF THE ROSY CROSS ], really seems to be coming from one of the most important invisible centers that represent the authentic “common European culture”.

This document that has many resonances with the Medieval Knights (see, for instance, the beautiful work of Jessie L. Weston – From Ritual to Romance ), Templars, Teutonics and of Malta, has been considered as something for “… all the learned in Europe who shal read (sent forth in five languages) this our Fama … ” and as indicating the starting point of the Illumination Process, the European social character. 

These resonances, correspondences, assonances and all the marvellous and finest repertory of Magical Ceremonies are nothing but the most authentic inner core of our common European culture, which is an indissoluble bond with all the most sacred and venerated traditions, from the Rosicrucian repertory passing through the pillars of Solomon`s Temple, towards the mystical Pyramids of Egypt and the winged Sphinxes of Babylon.  

These traditions, as with the new discoveries of the psychoanalitycal approach, live in us as Archetypes, and to perform these kind of alchemical dramas - basically a way to apply anthropological techniques to theatre (which is the real foundation of every Initiation Ceremony) – works, directly and immediately, upon the primeval matter of our Awareness, with no distinction between Conscious and Subconscious.  

What happened during the XXth century, with the publication of the rituals of The Golden Dawn (arguably, the most meaningful Order among the Rosicrucian systems),  is what we call “The Revival of Magick”, or the penetration of the Mystical Qabbalah into the popular culture, creating new foundations for a more visible and “open” social system, along with the conception of a new kind of human being, increasing in his own way to be aware of his destiny.

This way of working using Ritual Dramatic is a system for tapping into (and changing) the subconscious - essentially, a way to apply anthropology to theatre, providing for the people who experience it, an increasing understanding of the Inner Self, a means of revealing the True Will, which is the way we can become more and more aware of our life’s purpose and our deep-set need for improving and cultivating our individual liberty, and the liberty of all peoples, in effect, improving the Collective Consciousness of humanity’s as yet “unconditioned” connection with the Perfect Light.

The meaning of this letter is that we announce therefore that CXX years have been accomplished by the foundation of The Order of The Golden Dawn, and now we are ready to open our door to all the people of Europe, the Mediterranean and, even, of the world, without distinction or division, opening the gate in this venerated and mystical Order to any person who is a sincere seeker of the True Light. 

As our Praemonstrator (who is the European representative of the Open Source Golden Dawn ) states in a recent message:

“This coming year [ 2008 ] will probably be the most important and progressive year (…) being the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Order (in 1888). Why is 120 important? – Well, it is considered to be the Golden Dawn number and is an important Rosicrucian number (the Golden Dawn is, among other things, a Rosicrucian society). You will be hearing more about this as the year progresses (…)”

You know, there is a branch of the Golden Dawn that recently made the choice to transform itself in an OPEN SOURCE ORDER, which means something very close to the passage quoted from the R.C. document, meaning that there is no more need for the Secret, but there is (still) a great need for the Sacred because the heart is open and nevertheless:

” … Also our building, although one hundred thousand people had very near seen and beheld the same, shal for ever remain untouched, undestroyed, and hidden to the wicked world.”

And this can be an interesting field for our research in common European values, rituals and mores.

Therefore, happy New CXX Year, Dear Friends of the New Aeon of the Golden Dawn, and

“May the benefit of this act, and all acts, be dedicated unto the Complete Liberation and the Supreme Enlightenment of all beings, everywhere, pervading space and time, so mote it be. May the benefits of practice, ours and others, come to fruition, ultimately and immediately, and we remain in a state of presence.”
